How do I set up my budget?

Open Edit. Add groups such as Home or Subscriptions, then add categories to each group. A fixed category has one monthly amount. A logged category gets one amount per day, like Food. Add your monthly income there too.

How does daily logging work?

Tap the log button, or the daily reminder, and enter today's total for each logged category. Entering again for the same day replaces the amount. If you miss days, the app offers to fill them in or skip them. A skipped day counts as zero.

How do currencies work?

Every amount keeps the currency you entered. In Settings, choose your display currencies; the first one is used for totals. Rates update once a day, and when a month ends its rates freeze so past totals stop moving.

My data isn't syncing between devices

Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account and iCloud is allowed for mybudget in iOS Settings. Sync can take a few minutes, especially on cellular.

Can I change a fixed amount without changing past months?

Yes. When you change a fixed amount, choose the month it takes effect. Earlier months keep the old amount.

Does mybudget cost anything?

No. It is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
