Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

mybudget does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. The developer has no servers that receive your budget, and no way to see it.

Data on your device

Your groups, categories, amounts, income, daily entries, and settings are stored on your device with Apple's SwiftData framework.

iCloud sync

If iCloud is enabled for mybudget on your device, your data syncs through your private iCloud database using Apple's CloudKit, so it appears on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. The developer cannot access your iCloud data. Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud storage. You can turn sync off in iOS Settings under your Apple Account, iCloud.

Exchange rates

Once a day the app downloads currency exchange rates from open.er-api.com, operated by ExchangeRate-API. The request contains no budget data and no identifiers. As with any web request, the provider receives your IP address. See the ExchangeRate-API terms.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.

Widgets

Home Screen widgets read a summary of your month that the app writes to a container shared only between mybudget and its widget, on your device.

Analytics, ads, and tracking

mybudget has no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and no tracking. There is no account or sign-in.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes its data from your device. To remove synced data, delete it from iOS Settings under your Apple Account, iCloud, Manage Account Storage.

Children

mybudget is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
